Owain Sullivan Stars in Ffasiwn Bildar

COwain Sullivan Stars in Ffasiwn Bildaryfle Building Skills’ Shared Apprentice, Owain Sullivan has recently starred in the S4C programme, Ffasiwn Bildar. The Year 3 Electrical Shared Apprentice competed against thirteen other tradesmen to secure second place. The programme, spanning six weeks, included contruction and modelling challenges to find the new face of Ffasiwn Bildar. The winner received a £3,500 cash prize, a chance to model for Dickies Clothing and appeared on the cover of Professional Builder magazine. In the first episode, the contestants were set the challenge of building a runway so that they could use it for the second challenge; the runway walk. Owain, from Brynamman, is currently completing his NVQ Level 3 in Coleg Sir Gar. When asked about what he felt he had gained from the programme, he said, ‘The show has really boosted my confidence and improved my Welsh, as I only speak English in the house. Hopefully by appearing on the show it will improve my prospects of future employment as more people will recognise me.’
