Cardigan Castle is an ancient monument and situated in the heart of the town in Cardigan.  The 900 year old site is the birthplace of the Eisteddfod in 1176, it has been restored as a multi functional facility for community and recreational use as well as for learning.  There will be luxury accomodation for hire, a heritage centre with education facilities and a restaurant. Congratulations to EFOD for Winning the ACE Engineering Excellence Awards 2015 in Building Structure Congratulations to EFOD for Winning the ACE Engineering Excellence Awards 2015 in Building Structure   Engineers for Overseas Development (EFOD) challenges teams of young construction volunteers to design and build schemes in Africa for some of the poorest in society.  Over the last 12 months the organisation has sunk 2 boreholes, built a mill, and 2 grain stores for widows and women's cooperatives in Kachumbala, NE Uganda, allowing them to work themselves out of poverty.  The teams have also completed the design and started construction of a Maternity Unit at the Local Health Centre in the same area which will...

Cyfle Wins Leadership and People Development Award Congratulations to Cyfle Buiding Skills for winning the Construction Excellence in Wales  Leadership and People Development Award 2015.   Cyfle demonstrated to the Construction Excellence Wales (CEW) panel of judges,  how they support young adults to gain sustainable employment within the Construction Industry, which in turn helps secure the industry's future by providing with a skilled workforce.   After winning the title in Wales, Cyfle will now go forward to the National Awards which will be held later on this year in London.
