BPEC LIFE AWARD 2016

 BPEC  LIFE AWARD 2016 The BBPEC awarded Cyfle Building Skills £8,500 to support the ongoing installation of a new maternity unit in Uganda. This funding will help support phase two of the installation, which includes the new plumbing systems. Cyfle Building Skills support apprentice training in South Wales - BPEC were particularly impressed with this project as some current apprentices will get to be involved in the charitable work overseas. PEC Charity award offers grants to projects that use plumbing knowledge and skills to improve the lives of others and where possible to transfer the skills and knowledge to others in the process.

Owain Sullivan Stars in Ffasiwn Bildar

Owain Sullivan Stars in Ffasiwn Bildar Cyfle Building Skills’ Shared Apprentice, Owain Sullivan has recently starred in the S4C programme, Ffasiwn Bildar. The Year 3 Electrical Shared Apprentice competed against thirteen other tradesmen to secure second place. The programme, spanning six weeks, included contruction and modelling challenges to find the new face of Ffasiwn Bildar. The winner received a £3,500 cash prize, a chance to model for Dickies Clothing and appeared on the cover of Professional Builder magazine. Uganda Charity Fundraising Dinner 2015 The Annual Uganda Charity Fundraising Dinner was held in The Liberty Stadium on Friday 13th November 2015. Over 200 people from the construction industry attended helping to make the evening a great success. Guests were welcomed with canapes and champagne on arrival before making their way to the main function room. There they enjoyed a three course meal whilst being entertained by an extensive auction and raffle.
